Hoover Seventh Day Baptist Church shares more than facilities with First Baptist Church of Hoover. We share a vision of working together to support our community with civic responsibility and to reach those who want to know how to have a saving relationship with the Lord. We have also reached out to one another in the spirit of effective stewardship to share ministerial activities such as youth trips and programs. While our two bodies share the distinctive traits that unite us as Baptists, Hoover SDB retains its identity in honoring the Seventh Day Sabbath. As Baptists, however, we look to no individual as founder of our denomination and to no extra-Biblical prophet as the source of our doctrine.
We are a Seventh Day Baptist fellowship and an outreach of Paint Rock Seventh Day Baptist Church in Paint Rock, Alabama, near Huntsville. Paint Rock SDB provides our young organization with guidance, ministerial, and occasional financial support. Until the day that the Lord increases our number until we are ready to be an independent body, those who unite in our fellowship do so by membership in Paint Rock SDB.
We are very glad to see the Lord at work as the head of First Baptist Church of Hoover and Paint Rock SDB. Both churches are loving members of the family of God, and their cooperation in equipping our fellowship for ministry is clear evidence of their dedication to one Lord.
